Situated in the prosperous village of Alderley Edge, just south of Wilmslow in the Manchester commuter belt, we are an outward facing community-based church. Built in 1863 and refurbished in 1996, the church has strong local links, including ministry to the Schools and Care Homes, and ecumenical links through Churches Together.
There is a weekly Sunday Morning Service at 10.30am. We seek to make our Worship stimulating, challenging, and relevant to the needs of our congregation. We offer space for all ages to meet and explore faith in different ways.
Coffee Mornings take place every Saturday, from 10am ’til 12 midday.
Friday Tots is weekly, and everyone is welcome – from birth through to the time for moving along to the next level! They meet from 10am ’til 11.30am (Term-Time only).
Lunchtime Concerts take place 9 months of the year (Sep to Nov, Jan to Jun), on the third Wednesday of the month. Light lunches are available for a minimal cost, and are served from 12 noon, and the recitals begin at 1pm. Admission is by programme, costing £10 and available at the door.
Our next Lunchtime Concert is on the 16th of September, when we welcome James Smith to perform a Piano Recital for us, appearing by kind permission of the RNCM. Born in Norwich, and playing from the age of 6, James studied for his BMus (Hons) Degree at the Royal Northern College of Music under the tutelage of Professor Stephen Savage PhD. He is now continuing his studies as an RNCM Scholar for a Master’s Degree in Performance. We know that it will be the usual high calibre of performance that we’ve become accustomed to – be sure to join us, by simply turning-up on the day at the time!
