Knutsford Methodist Church (KMC) is an active and inclusive Christian community who seek to grow and share the love of God.  The church building sits right in the heart of this lively market town.  Built in 1864, and extensively modified internally over the last 20 years, the church is a modern place of worship in a historic setting.  As a church community KMC offers an invitation to worship God, encounter Jesus, find community and make a difference in the world.

Worship God

Sunday morning worship is every Sunday at 10am, providing a space for all ages to meet with a thriving Kids Zone and a welcome for young families.  The service is streamed online through the KMC YouTube channel:

There is a monthly CAMEO service on the 3rd Sunday of the month, where folk can “Come and Meet Each Other” and enjoy a delicious cream tea after a 40 minute service of hymns, story and prayers.

There is also a monthly Oasis service on the last Sunday of the month with prayers for healing and wholeness.  A space to meet with Jesus and enjoy being in God’s presence.

Mid-Week Communion is every Thursday at 12noon.

Encounter Jesus

There is a vibrancy and joy in getting to know Christ and living with God day by day.  People come to faith, and grow in their faith in different ways.  We seek to support one another in that journey of faith as we understand that we are known, valued and loved by God.  We have a calling to support families in their discipleship and value children and young people and their capacity to know God and participate in the life of the church.

House Groups

As well as following a preaching series on Sunday mornings KMC has 10 house groups meeting in  Knutsford and the surrounding area, supporting people pastorally and prayerfully.  The House groups are open to any who would like to grow and be supported in their faith.

Youth Group

Wednesday evening is given over to our Youth: Go (6.30 to 8pm) is our new group starting this September for those in school Year 5-8.

Finding Community

In all our interactions and relationships we seek to be gracious (welcoming, open, honest, caring and supportive of one another).  Alongside the House Groups where there is a depth of mutual caring and prayerful support we seek to foster Life Groups that are primarily geared towards friendship, mutual caring and sharing, at each stage of life.  KMC is a place to belong.

Friendship Café

This is a café for people living with dementia and their carers. The Café includes refreshments and an opportunity to chat; sometimes games or craft, reminiscence activities, music with a trained therapist and other activities. The Friendship Café takes place weekly on Fridays from 10am – 12 noon.

This is a wellbeing space where it is okay not to be okay. People meet each Tuesday afternoon from 2-4pm for chat, games and friendship.

Jolly Tots

Jolly Tots is a group for parents and guardians with pre-school children and meets on a Wednesday morning in the church and large hall, between 9.30am-11.15am. It provides a safe environment where parents, carers and little ones can meet informally.

Make a Difference

The good news of God’s love in Jesus is for sharing and has transformational power to change lives, communities and the world.  We seek to share our faith openly and with a servant heart for neighbour and the world, through acts of service and responding to the needs of the wider community.  Caring for God’s creation we are an Eco Church taking seriously issues of justice and peace for all the earth.

Alpha Course

The Alpha course is a series of interactive sessions that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith. No pressure. No follow up. No charge.  Just space to explore faith today.  Our next in person course start in September.  Sign up via the church office.
