Plumley

The church, which is 150 years old, is situated prominently in the centre of Plumley village 5 miles from Knutsford. It is well maintained with glass front doors, two beautiful stained glass windows either side of the pulpit and an excellent pipe organ. There is an amplification and loop system in situ.

There is a disabled ramp to the side of the church, a disabled toilet and well equipped kitchen. A large car park at the rear of the church is shared with the village hall. The church hall is hired during the week by many local groups including sewing, flower arranging, singing group and the local parish council.

Worship services

Sunday services are usually held at 11am with additional ones such as for Christmas and Easter ones which are posted on the church notice board and the church website. Holy Communion is celebrated during the services about once a month.

Discipleship, Fellowship and Community

We have recently commenced a monthly prayer group meeting led by Rev. Alan Bradley and hope to continue this for the foreseeable future.

As we are a small, friendly church we enjoy fellowship together with a coffee for those able to stay after the services and occasionally meet in the café at the local garden centre for a cuppa and cake!

On the 1st Saturday of the month a coffee morning is held in the church hall and this is very well attended by villagers and friends from other churches. An excellent way of enabling new people to the village to get to know others.

For those who are unwell at home, in a care home or hospital we ensure they are visited by one of our members on a regular basis.

At special times in the church calendar such as Easter and Christmas as well as Remembrance Sunday and national events the church is decorated appropriately both inside and outside.
