We are situated very prominently in the centre of Plumley Village, between Knutsford and Northwich. The current building was built in 1887, though a smaller one had previously been on the same site. It has glass doors leading into the Foyer and Worship Area, with a pipe organ and beautiful stained glass windows either side of the Pulpit Area.
The church has a shared Car Park with the Village Hall, accessed from Plumley Moor Road (rear of the building).
Access to the church is at the front via steps. A ramp is provided via the Church Hall entrance (to the right side of the front of the building). We have an up-to-date Audio System, with a Hearing Loop for those with Hearing Aids. Toilets, including Disabled, are available.
The Church Hall is available for Groups to hire during the week, having a selection of tables and comfortable chairs, plus a kitchen with good facilities and equipment. It is currently hired by many local groups, including sewing, flower arranging, singing, and the local Parish Council.
Worship Services
Sunday Services are held at 11am – additional services are led on Good Friday, Christmas Eve, and other special dates in the Christian Calendar. Holy Communion is celebrated during the services once-a-month. You can view the Circuit Preaching Plan to find-out exactly what is happening and when.
Discipleship, Fellowship, and Community
As we are a small, friendly church, we enjoy fellowship together with a coffee for those able to stay after the services, and occasionally meet in the café at the local Garden Centre for a cuppa and a cake (or two)!
On the 1st Saturday of the month, from 10:30am ’til 12 midday, a Coffee Morning is held in the Church Hall, attended by villagers and friends from other churches – it’s an excellent way of enabling new people to get to know us, and are very popular!
The Circuit’s Children & Schools Worker works with the local school to run “Open the Book”.
For those who are unwell at home, in a Care Home, or hospital, we ensure that they are visited by one of our members on a regular basis.
At special times in the Church Calendar, such as Easter and Christmas, as well as Remembrance Sunday and National Events, the church is decorated appropriately both inside and outside.
